Country:  Malaysia


Duty station: Primarily based at the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change (NRECC), Putrajaya with the possibility of posting in various zones in Peninsular Malaysia.


Description of the Assignment:  The position entails multifaceted responsibilities in support of the UNDP's project implementation efforts in Malaysia. Firstly, it involves aiding the implementation of project components at federal and state government levels, including Sabah and Sarawak, along with engaging state governments and relevant agencies. This support includes data gathering, analysis, and report development, ensuring that project objectives are met. Additionally, the role involves monitoring and tracking state governments' progress towards project goals and assisting in ongoing or emerging projects.


Administrative duties encompass compiling progress reports, organizing meetings and events, and maintaining records, minutes, and logistical support. Furthermore, it involves managing documentation and facilitating efficient communication with stakeholders.


The position also plays a role in knowledge management and production support, assisting in the development of technical guidance, literature reviews, and capacity-building materials. It aims to promote access to spatial data and the sharing of best practices and lessons learned from the project while ensuring bilingual communication by translating materials into Bahasa Malaysia as needed.


Period of assignment/services (if applicable): 216 working days in 12 months period
