Introduction : Country: Papua New Guinea Description of the Assignment: The National Consultant will identify options and establish MoUs for private-sector partnerships for CIEWS and ; · Initial engagement report on the outcomes of the consultations, with recommendations for specific partners and models to be integrated into the project design. · Detailed report on the specific actions of private partners within the project design, including specific roles, responsibilities, and financial contributions of each partner. · Develop draft MOUs outlining the principles, terms, and expectations of the PPP for each of the private sector partners committing to the project. · Technical support to the project development team for addressing UNDP and GCF comments. Reporting of Duties: The consultant will report primarily to the UNDP and the appointed officer from the CCDA, as well as other members of the Project Preparation Team, as appropriate. An in-country mission will be organised by UNDP to hold necessary consultations with private sector partners. Period of assignment/services: 20 working days over a period of 3 months. Proposals should be submitted directly to the portal no later than the indicated deadline. Any request for clarification must be sent in writing via messaging functionality in the portal. UNDP will respond in writing including an explanation of the query without identifying the source of inquiry.
