Introduction

RFP for Call Centre Services for 2023 Drought Phone Survey & Awareness via Text blasts. Location: Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea

Type of contract: Request for Proposals; Project: 2023 Drought Survey & Awareness

Starting Date: December 2023

Duration of Contract: 3 months (December 2023 to March 2024)

UNDP PNG intends to capture further rounds of data in addition to the baseline data established from the first round of phone survey on the observations and experiences of Papua New Guineans in relation to the approaching dry season and to monitor changes over time as the season progresses. This is to inform its own programming and other Aid agencies in the country concerned about the possible effects of El Nino. In addition, UNDP PNG intends to send out drought preparedness key messages to the survey respondents to mitigate the impacts of El Nino.

Scope of consultancy

The main tasks of the assignment consist of the following:

1. Establishment and staffing of call center

2. Use of Service Provider’s SME database

3. SMS blast to the database throughout drought hotspot locations

4. Collection of survey responses with all geolocations tagged to individual calls and simultaneously inputting responses into web-based Kobo form viewable on this link -- https://eu.kobotoolbox.org/#/forms/aPJfdYkUHcUfAB7WLY7cC4
