Introduction
UNDP Bhutan seeks a proposal from an eligible and qualified national consultant to support a regional consultant in Conducting a Baseline and Benchmarking Assessment for Health Care Waste Management in the project country Bhutan.The National Consultant is expected to undertake the following:
- Conduct a desk review of the health care waste management context in Bhutan including:
o the applicable legal, regulatory, and policy frameworks.
o institutional/governance arrangements.
o key stakeholders engaged in various HCW management stages; and
o the applicable technical guidelines and standards, actual operation practices
- Conduct a literature review of the standards or guidelines issued by WHO and relevant organizations for Bhutan.
- Provide inputs to develop the methodology to establish the baseline in Bhutan, while considering specific contexts and sensitivity of the country.
- Provide inputs in developing the baseline report based on the data collected from Bhutan through literature review, organizing focus group discussions and stakeholder interviews,
- Collect feedback from the relevant stakeholders to consolidate and finalize the baseline and benchmarking assessment report.
- Provide data from focus group discussions and stakeholder consultations for in-depth analysis of the results of baseline and situational analysis.
- Any other related tasks as assigned by UNDP Bhutan.
