Introduction

Invitation to Submit an Offer for Consultancy - Communications and Outreach, Launch of UNDP Signals Spotlight 2024

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) works with countries to expand people’s choices for a fairer, sustainable future. UNDP’s Strategic Plan 2022-25 aims to build a more agile, anticipatory UNDP that embraces complexity, actively manages risk, continually adapts and seeks to learn alongside delivering results. To build this more agile, anticipatory UNDP – an organization ready to respond to many different possible futures – we need the capacity to consider futures proactively and systematically. This means seeking a diversity of perspectives that will push us beyond our usual ways of perceiving the world.

The Strategy and Futures (S&F) Team, part of the Executive Office supporting the UNDP Administrator, is working to achieve these goals by creating a futures ecosystem across UNDP that will cohere, connect and amplify futures and strategic foresight across the organisation.

One of the S&F team’s flagship products in 2024 will be the UNDP Signals Spotlight 2024. The Spotlight, to be published in March 2024, will draw on insights from UNDP’s Future Trends and Signals System to describe the signals and trends we see emerging in the next 3-10 years which UNDP considers will be significant for development; and to explain why and how they might be significant for development. The Spotlight’s stakeholders include the S&F team, UNDP’s Executive Office, the Bureau for External Relations and Advocacy (responsible for UNDP’s corporate branding) and all UNDP staff who contribute signals to the Future Trends and Signals System. The Spotlight is intended for two principal audiences: UNDP itself and the global development community.

The purpose of this procurement exercise is to contract an individual consultant - Communications and Outreach Consultant who will work closely with the Strategy & Futures team to launch the UNDP Signals Spotlight 2024 and engage the target audience in innovative ways.

Should you be interested and decide to submit an offer for this assignment, kindly submit directly in the online supplier portal no later than the deadline indicated in the system.

Offers must be submitted directly in the system following this link: http://supplier.quantum.partneragencies.org  using the profile you may have in the portal. In case you have never registered before, you can register a profile using the registration link shared via the procurement notice and following the instructions in guides available in UNDP website: https://www.undp.org/procurement/business/resources-for-bidders.  Do not create a new profile if you already have one. If any discrepancy between deadline in the system and in deadline indicated elsewhere, deadline in the system prevails. We look forward to your favorable response and thank you in advance for your interest in working with UNDP.

Sincerely,

Procurement Office
