Description of the Assignment:   Under the overall guidance of the UNDP and SO-JUST project partners, the consultant will be expected to undertake the following tasks:

1) Work with the Legal Aid Council to select 6-8 appropriate communication and public education materials for simplification.

2) Working with the Legal Aid Council and key stakeholder partners guided by research on best practices used in other jurisdictions, agree on standards for the simplification of material (e.g. reading grade level, sentence structure requirements etc.).

3) Under the guidance of the Legal Aid Council and key partners from the disability sector, prepare simple language versions of selected materials for print and electronic distribution.

4) Develop and produce pictorial representations and accompanying visual aids for the selected materials.

 

Period of assignment/services: Consultant is expected to be engaged for 35 non-consecutive working days over a three-month period. The anticipated start date for the consultancy is January 2024.  

Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.
