Introduction

UNDP is the UN Development Programme and works in some 170 countries and territories, helping to achieve the eradication of poverty, and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion. UNDP helps countries to develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities and build resilience in order to sustain development results. UNDP supports the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as they help shape global sustainable development for the next 10 years.

With Headquarters in New York, UNDP has a workforce of 21,000+ personnel, comprising of 180+ nationalities, that work from 480+ locations in 170 countries. UNDP publishes 4,500+ vacancies per year for international professional and national professional and administration roles at different levels.

In 2021 the UNDP launched its first Employer Value Proposition (EVP) and an EVP Communication and Marketing Strategy. The People Strategy emphasizes the need to ensure the relevance and strength of UNDP’s EVP, while also developing a strategic approach to talent acquisition. As such, the strategy calls for a targeted effort in talent outreach and recruitment to ensure that UNDP’s workforce consists of diverse, highly-qualified and committed people.

With more than two years since the launch of the EVP, it is time to assess its impact on the UNDP employer brand and how the UNDP employer brand is perceived among prospective talent at a global level.

UNDP is, therefore, looking for a Service Provider to undertake a limited, global employer brand perception survey. It is the intention that the survey will inform the next phase of the EVP Communication and Marketing strategy.
