Introduction
Services/Work Description: Overview of Corruption within the Private Sector with a focus on the Construction and Financial sectors in Africa.
Project/Program Title: UNDP RSCA Renewed Governance and Peacebuilding Framework
Duty Station: Hybrid-Home based and field missions.
Duration: Three (03) months
Expected Start Date: Immediately after Concluding Contract Agreement – at the latest by December 2023.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s in Law, International Development, Economics, Social Science, Trade, or related field.
- Experience working in the private sector and/or conducting similar research work related to the construction and financial sectors specifically, and/or private sector and corruption at large, specifically in Africa, is a must.
- Knowledge of regional and global development frameworks mainly SDGs and Agenda 2063; Knowledge of the UN programming principles- Leave no one behind (gender equality and human rights) resilience and sustainability; Basic knowledge of Results-Based Management principles.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience and a high reputation undertaking research, consultations and working on Economics, Trade, Business and Human rights issues at continental, regional and national levels.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in providing technical advice for research teams and organizations.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in conducting statistical work, designing field surveys, experimental data collection methods, and processing data from non-traditional sources.
- Linguistic skills: the consultant must be fluent in English and French
- Excellent command of STATA and other statistical software, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, is a must.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the development of similar consultations on a national/ regional scale, as well as in project management, communication, and client relations with private sector.
