Introduction :

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Viet Nam is looking for A national consultant team to conduct an assessment on eco-shrimp traceability pilot program in Cà Mau province for the GCF1 project "Improving the resilience of vulnerable coastal communities to climate change-related impacts in Viet Nam", as described in the attached TORs.  This procurement request is specifically to recruit the team member for this assignment.

Country:  Viet Nam. 

Description of the Assignment: The consultant team including the team member is expected to provide technical inputs to 1) assess the eco-shrimp traceability pilot program in Ca Mau; 2) explore the possibility of using renewable energy in the cold storage of ecological shrimp to reduce greenhouse gas emissions; 3) provide evidence-based recommendations to Ca Mau DARD on effective implementation.

The consultant’ tasks include:

1.      Assess eco-shrimp traceability pilot program (one processing unit, two fresh shrimp buyers, two shrimp fingerling producers, and 500 ecological shrimp households) and

2.      Exploring the possibility of using renewable energy in the cold storage of ecological shrimp to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

3.      Provide evidence-based recommendations to Ca Mau DARD on effective implementation.

Period of assignment: 14 days for team member from March to June 2024.
