Description of the Assignment: The International SES Specialist Consultant is to develop the mandatory UNDP Project Document Annex which includes the Social and Environment Screening Procedure (SESP), as well as adding the social and environmental risk into the overall Project Risk Register. The Consultant will be part of the project team to ensure the screening of the overall SES risk, as well as developing corresponding SES assessment and management plans. In addition, a monitoring framework is to be developed to support project teams in tracking the status of the SES risk mitigation during project implementation for six projects by five GRR grantees and one project partner. The Consultant will develop the SESP in compliance with the UNDP SES policy (2021). Additional guidance is available at the UNDP SES Toolkit site. The Consultant will also support the completion of SESP annexes required in the Project Document alongside the project manager in charge.  


In addition, and as needed, the Consultant will be required to present SESPs developed to the UNDP Governance Programme team for learning and training purposes.


Period of assignment: Maximum 30 working days (from 16 March 2024 until 30 June 2024)
