Introduction

Introduction: The United Nations Volunteers programme (UNV) is currently expanding the Roster of Facilitators (no. 37401) for UN Volunteers Learning Programme. If you are already part of the Pool of facilitators you don't need to reapply. If you have already applied for the negotiation UNV-00165, you don't need to re-apply.

UNV contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. Volunteerism is a powerful means of engaging people in tackling development challenges, and it can transform the pace and nature of development. Successful pre-deployment preparation, onboarding, learning and career development are critical and contribute to an outstanding experience for several thousand people from across the globe serving as UN volunteers every year. The UNV programme supports the onboarding, learning and career development of volunteers from the start to the end of their assignments with the UN system. UNV’s learning and development programmes engage volunteers and enable them to perform at their best and achieve the impact they want with the UN agencies that they support. To deliver our learning programmes, we would like to expand the pool of trainers and facilitators who lead workshops and trainings, onsite and virtually, throughout the year and across the globe.

To be considered for inclusion in the roster, applications would need to have expertise in one or more of the following areas of expertise:

Area 1: Pre-deployment preparation and onboarding

Area 2: Competency and skills development (covering areas such as leadership, management, project management, communication, negotiation, conflict management and others)

Area 3: Business and Productivity Skills (areas such as time management, workplace effectiveness, IT skills, presentation skills and others)

Area 4: Well-being, integrity, inclusion and health (areas such as mental health, inclusion and diversity, discrimination, prevention of sexual exploitation and harassment and others)

Area 5: Career Development areas such as career planning, CV writing, interview preparation and others.

Duty station: Home-based with travel to UNV HQ (Bonn, Germany), Regional Offices and field locations, as required.

Period of assignment/services : Framework agreement with a maximum duration until March 2025. The facilitators will be engaged on an ‘on-call’ basis. In other words, when UNV requires their services, a selection will be made based on price quotation, language, availability, areas of expertise, location (for on-site workshop/training), diversity (geographic, gender), and performance evaluation.
