UNDP is supporting Ministry of Health Through collaboration with the Instituto de Luta Contract Sida to implement the Integrated Biological and Behavioural Surveillance Survey on HIV, Syphilis, Viral Hepatitis and TB among key populations and Prisoners in Angola, for that UNDP is looking for an Operational and Logistic Provider to support the planning and the implementation of the survey

 

SCOPE OF TENDER

 

The aim of the IBBS survey is to further the knowledge of the HIV, TB, Syphilis, Hepatitis B epidemic among KPs and prisoners to better inform the response towards female sex workers, men who have sex with men, transgender women and the TB affected population. Through this IBBS survey, the following specific objectives will be pursued:

-        To estimate the size of the KPs in Benguela, Bié and Cuanza Sul;

-        To estimate the prevalence of HIV, TB, Syphilis and Hepatitis B among KPs and prisoners (including hepatitis C);

-        To measure KPs and prisoners behavioural determinants in relation to HIV, TB, Syphilis and viral hepatitis infection;

-        Determine the level of knowledge, attitudes, behaviours and practices (KABP) on HIV/TB/hepatitis B / Syphilis within KPs and all target groups within the prisons (including hepatitis C);

-        To determine and assess the availability of HIV/TB/Hep B and C/ syphilis prevention, care and treatment services for KPs and prisoners and their access to such services;

-        To develop national capacity to conduct population size estimates and IBBS surveys.

The overall objective of the Operation and Logistic Service Provider being sourced by UNDP is to enable the initiation and completion of the IBBS survey by providing support to the Principal Investigator.
