Title: Differentiated Technical Assistance for advancing policy guided by MPI data in LAC

Duty Station: Home Based

Scope of Work
Reporting directly to the Senior Policy Advisor, and under the guidance of the Regional Director, the contractor will:

  • Design a differentiated assistance strategy for multidimensional poverty reduction – including the identification of intersectoral links for the acceleration of this strategy - for Latin America and the Caribbean countries according to a classification based on technical and institutional capacity criteria.
  • Define and estimate micro simulated scenarios for multidimensional poverty reduction for selected countries.
  • Design a first-generation acceleration strategy for multidimensional poverty reduction for two countries (or cities) to be defined. This strategy should be based on planning policies, goals and budgets of the sectors explicit in the dimensions and indicators of the official MPI of each country.
  • Design a second generation1 acceleration strategy for multidimensional poverty reduction for one country (or city) to be defined. This strategy should be based on planning policies, goals and budgets of the sectors explicit in the dimensions and indicators of the official MPI of each country.


Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline: May 2nd, 2024 @ 15.00 EST (New York Time). If there is a discrepancy between this deadline and the closing date indicated in the portal, then the portal's closing date is the valid closing date.
Any request for clarification must be sent in writing via messaging functionality in the portal. UNDP will respond in writing including an explanation of the query without identifying the source of inquiry.
