Introduction :

The Ending Plastic Pollution Innovation Challenge (EPPIC), funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad), is an ASEAN-wide competition calling for all innovators to share their bright ideas for tackling plastic pollution with the world. Since 2023, over 300 innovators (from 7 ASEAN countries) applied to the competition to address plastic pollution in 4 coastal cities. 31 finalist teams were selected to join the 3-months incubation programmes (delivered in a hybrid format), visit the project sites, and developed supportive networks of partners. 8 winning teams (of which women led five teams) received 18,000 USD in equity-free seed funding and enrolled in the 9-month impact acceleration programmes. As of January 2022, Finalists from Phase 1 have received a total cumulative investment of 324,000 USD, in addition to the seed funding disbursed by the EPPIC of 72,000 USD. The project has become a space for ASEAN countries to disseminate lessons learned and best practices regarding the prevention and reduction of plastic waste in nature.

Minh Khai village is a hotspot of environmental pollution. Monitoring results implemented by MONRE in 2019 at the village showing concentration of dioxin/furan in air samples exceeds 3 times compared to national standards on air quality. Through this context, UNDP Viet Nam is looking for 01 International consultancy firm to provide technical advice and quality assurance to a local team on survey, investigation and develop remediation plan for the Minh Khai village.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Viet Nam is looking for 01 International consultancy firm to implement these following activities:

·       Provide technical advice to local consulting team following stages of site survey, assessment and development of remediation plan, including site investigation planning, site conceptual models, sampling plan, comparison of different remediation technique and remediation plan.
