In this context, the United Nations Development Programme in Sri Lanka invites eligible National and/or international NGOs and CSOs to submit their Information and proposals to partner with UNDP to implement project activities outlined in this negotiation.
The objective of this initiative is to strengthen victim-survivors of SGBV economically by increasing the capacity of shelter homes which provide shelter services to facilitate post-shelter economic stability interventions.
In order to capacitate the shelter homes to successfully implement economic interventions for victim-survivors of SGBV, the UNDP will recruit an NGO with the relevant technical expertise to provide training for capacity building in terms of financial literacy, business development services, value chain support and market support. The NGO will work with each of the five selected shelter homes and their selected beneficiaries to successfully implement their respective economic empowerment initiative.
Activities in line with the above objective are:
Activity 1: Develop Gender Sensitive Training modules on Product Development, Financial Literacy, Business Development Services, Business Registration, micro-financing etc.
Activity 2: Conduct ToT for five staff of each shelter home in local languages (Sinhala/ Tamil)
Activity 3: Co-conduct (along with Shelter Home staff who were trained under activity 2) training of selected beneficiaries in each shelter and where relevant connect selected women from shelters with entrepreneurs and business leaders for mentoring support.
Activity 4: Establish market linkages to online or national platforms/ supply chain plans for each shelter home and provide other necessary market support.
Activity 5: Submit final report on the completion of all activities and comprehensive recommendations economically empowering victim survivors of SGBV
