Introduction :
UNCDF is looking for a partner organization to deliver training and support to rural communities in the Solomon Islands, with a focus on women and small businesses. This partner will create training materials on digital finance and business formalization, deliver workshops, and help people sign up for financial services. The goal is to improve financial inclusion and economic opportunities for these communities, focused on:

Training Materials and Develop training modules
    • Digital financial literacy and financial management
    • Accessing and using digital financial services (DFS)
    • Benefits of formalizing businesses and using DFS for MSMEs
    • Training materials for future trainers

Training Delivery

  • Partner with local organizations to deliver workshops.
  • Train at least 2,000 people outside the capital (mostly women) on financial skills and DFS.
  • Train at least 300 MSMEs outside the capital (mostly women-led) on DFS and business formalization.

Supporting Businesses

  • Help MSMEs (especially women-led) formalize their businesses.
  • Train and onboard MSMEs as DFS agents or merchants (at least 250, mostly women).
  • Aim for at least 1,000 new users (mostly women) to sign up for DFS or e-tax platforms.
