The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
- Task 1: Conducting a comprehensive review of existing data, reports, and studies related to environmental hotspots in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), including any related maps and GIS databases for the Federation of BiH, Republika Srpska, and the Brčko District.
- Task 2: Engaging relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and local communities, to gather additional insights and data.
- Task 3: Conducting field surveys and documenting the status of locations suspected of being environmental hotspots.
- Task 4: Utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology and spatial analysis techniques to develop an interactive Environmental Hotspots Map and incorporating it into existing information systems (like, but not limited to, Waste Management System or POPs stocks GIS platform).
- Task 5: Incorporating socio-economic and environmental indicators to prioritize areas for intervention.
- Task 6: Producing a detailed report documenting the methodology, findings, and recommendations of the Environmental Hotspots Map.
