Introduction :

UNCDF invites applications from registered entities with presence in Papua New Guinea that can act as an aggregator implementing partner to conduct financial literacy pilot CDRFI solutions such as parametric insurance, in collaboration with insurance players, with particular focus on increasing access for women and underserved markets.

In addition, the selected organization will also conduct awareness and financial literacy campaigns with focus on climate risk insurance.

Based on UNCDF’s commitments in PNG to develop CDRFI solutions to protect the vulnerable communities from the impacts of climate disasters and protect their livelihoods, UNCDF is looking to on-board a financial institution/organization/firm/company that will carry out the following activities:

 1.       Act as an aggregator partner to expand access to CDRFI solutions by:

-          Increasing awareness, understanding and literacy particularly on climate risk/parametric insurance by:

-          conducting financial literacy and insurance awareness campaigns, especially with women and other vulnerable groups,

-          Production of training materials in the local language based on financial and literacy materials developed by the Programme.

 2.       Reporting and knowledge management:

-          Report of training activities, including participant lists and regions covered.

Reporting of disaggregated data by sex, age, persons with disabilities, location and other parameters of number of persons reached through financial and insurance literacy activities.
