The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) aims to address the pervasive issues of online disinformation and hate full content in Pakistan. The project seeks to mainstream these issues through a comprehensive Behavioural Change Communication (BCC) campaign and is seeking interested firms with speciality in BCC projects, to develop the campaign.

Online disinformation and misinformation are rampant issues in Pakistan, significantly impacting public perception and societal harmony. Despite the prevalence of these problems, the public rarely engages in the verification of information they encounter on social media. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), SELP has initiated a project Safe Digital Environment Project (SDEP) to address issues with regards to irresponsible digital engagement including hateful content, misinformation, and disinformation. The SDEP aims to achieve this by engaging key government bodies and educational institutions, improving civil society's work on fact-checking, and building capacity with a focus on government officials and youth. The initiative seeks to cultivate a responsible digital media interaction. The project's aim is to create a resilient and responsible digital environment, emphasizing critical thinking and ethical engagement.
