Development and Delivery of Business Training and Mentorship Services for BOOST

BOOST is a regional acceleration programme, powered by UNDP Europe and Central Asia, boosting social impact innovation, and accelerating the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The programme is designed to assist selected entrepreneurs and innovators in the further development, piloting and/or scale-up of their solutions and projects with a focus on accelerating the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The acceleration programmes generally consist of workshops, individual and group mentoring, coaching, and technical advice aimed at advancing impact measurement and management skills, improving business model development capabilities, enhancing the organizations’ investment readiness, and developing soft skills, including networking, and pitching abilities. In addition, the programmes help participants access larger business networks and connect with investors and other types of funders. The objective of the work is to support the implementation of the BOOST: Innovative Finance programme under the Slovak Transformation Fund. This programme will serve as a catalyst for discovering and accelerating innovative and alternative financing initiatives that can drive urban transformation in Western Balkans.


The efforts envisaged are anticipated to results in: 
  • A portfolio of up to 20 financing solutions and projects ready for piloting, deployment, or scaling. 
  • A strengthened ecosystem for innovative finance projects and solutions in the Western Balkan region, supported by strategic partnerships and collaborative knowledge sharing. 
  • New technical and funding/financing partnerships established between solution owners, city stakeholders, investors and/or tech-companies.  
The service provider is expected to provide inputs and functionalities required for the tailored acceleration of the participating entities. The service provider should specialize in entrepreneurship and business acceleration, and have thorough understanding and capabilities in the space of innovative finance and digital transformation.
