Project Name: Inclusive Development, Recovery and Peacebuilding Portfolio

Title of assignment: Individual Consultant for the position of English Language Editor

Duty Station: Home-based

Period of assignment/services: Up to 12 months

Main objectives of the assignment: English Language Editor will support the IDRPB portfolio activities through proofreading and editing of written communication materials such as reports, publications, media briefs, advocacy materials, etc. aimed at various target audiences.

Scope of work:

Specifically, the English Language Editor, in close coordination with the IDRPB portfolio personnel and under the direct supervision of the Communications Specialist, will proofread and edit regular programme and project reports and other documents and communication products related to programme and project implementation. He/she will ensure the clarity of structure and core themes, analytical and stylistic consistency of texts, proofreading and spelling check, considering development context and United Nations specifics in terminology and wording. The English Language Editor/Writer will ensure respect for the UNDP editorial guidelines (which will be shared by UNDP).

The scope of materials will include but is not limited to the following publications/papers:

1)    At least 20 (eighteen) donor reports.

2)    UNDP corporate reporting.

3)    Project publications.

4)    Articles, website content, blogs, factsheets, infographic texts, video subtitles, or any other materials as requested.

The Terms of Reference (TOR) for this assignment can be directly accessed either through the Quantum Negotiation or within the Negotiation Documents on the UNDP Procurement Notices website.

 

HOW TO SUBMIT A BID/PROPOSAL:

Proposal should be submitted directly in Quantum portal no later than indicated deadline following the link: http://supplier.quantum.partneragencies.org using the profile you may have in the portal. Do not create a new profile if you already have one. Use the forgotten password feature in case you do not remember the password or the username from previous registration.

Any request for clarification not related to registration issues must be sent in writing via messaging functionality in Quantum. UNDP will respond in writing.

Please indicate whether you intend to submit a proposal by creating a draft response without submitting directly in the system. This will enable the system to send notifications in case of amendments of the announcement requirements.

In case you have never registered before, you can register a profile using the registration link shared via this procurement notice and following the instructions in guides available in UNDP website: https://www.undp.org/procurement/business/resources-for-bidders.
