ASSIGNMENT TITLE: Assessment, Diagnostic and Roadmap for Enabling Environment Blended Finance in select countries
UNDP PROJECT NAME: Accelerating Climate Resilience through Blended Finance in the Asia – Pacific
COUNTRY OF ASSIGNMENT: Travel required to three selected countries.
DURATION: Tentatively August 2024 – December 2024 (5 months)
Assessment, Diagnostic and Roadmap for Enabling Environment Blended Finance in select countries under the Accelerating Climate Resilience through Blended Finance in the Asia – Pacific project. The assignment will focus on Blended Finance Diagnostics and Roadmaps which will identify possible regulatory and practical barriers and measures to address them with respect to blended finance transactions, which are often bespoke in nature, with a view to more effectively promoting climate resilience and gender responsive financing instruments. While being approached from a regional lens to bring out commonalities in themes and recommendations, and starting out with a research phase (including virtual consultations) covering up to 8 countries (Bangladesh, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives) it will primarily focus on three countries (out of the 8) specific deep dives given the importance of local policy and regulatory contexts.
