Introduction

INVITATION TO BID UNDP-SDN-00236

TB Sputum Sample transportation services

Reference no. GF/ITB/24/029

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Country Office Sudan is currently implementing a Tuberculosis (TB) grant in Sudan that involves transportation of sputum samples for suspected TB patients from TB basic health management units (TB BMU) at locality levels to GeneXpert sites located at tertiary hospitals in a State. Samples are then transported from GeneXpert sites to Zonal Culture laboratories in Kassala (Kassala City) and River Nile (Atbara City) States for further analysis. Some samples require further analysis at TB reference laboratories outside Sudan, so samples need to be transported from either Zonal Culture laboratories or GeneXpert sites to Port Sudan, for onward packing and shipment outside Sudan. Details of the transportation arrangement is provided under Section 5 Schedule of requirements and TORs provided in this negotiation.

UNDP seeks qualified transportation and/or courier companies meeting the requirements of the bid to submit bids to provide transportation of sputum samples for suspected TB patients as described Section 5 Schedule of requirements and TORs. The service is arranged in lots based on the target states and nature of transportation service. A service provider can quote for one or more lots, but under each lot, the service provider shall lot for the entire scope of service under each lot or else a partial quotation for a lot will be rejected.

There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting on the dates and timing indicated in the ITB.

Contracts are planned to be awarded on 1 October 2024 and the duration of the contract shall be one year, subject for renewal for one year.

Bids should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.

Any request for clarification must be sent in writing via messaging functionality in the portal. UNDP will respond in writing including an explanation of the query without identifying the source of inquiry.
Please indicate whether you intend to submit a bid by creating a draft response without submitting directly in the system. This will enable the system to send notifications in case of amendments of the tender requirements.
