Description of the Assignment:  

The primary objective of the assignment is to provide technical support to relevant entity ministries designing and implementing future complex grant schemes. Technical support will be in the form of training prepared by the Grant Scheme Expert, which will be designed based on the Handbook for Public Sector Practitioners. The technical support and training would bring a new quality in developing complex grant scheme(s) for private sector in BiH in line with EU grants scheme standards/approach. This approach would complement in embedding government’s long-term development priorities and policies for supporting SMEs. Furthermore, it will not only foster a systemic and steady approach to streamline long-term priority policies into concretely supported actions, contributing to strengthening of the competitiveness and innovation capacities and resulting in targeted development financing, but will also bring practical solutions, templates and tools for grant scheme development in the manner already utilized by other more advanced EU countries, which would help bringing the practice in BiH closer to EU standards.

 

Period of assignment/services (if applicable):  Up to 22 days (from September to December)
