UNDP is seeking to engage a reputable National NGO/CSO to implement, in partnership with the Office of the Vice-President (OVP) and UNDP, the initiative to promote the holistic empowerment and participation of women and youth in socio-economic, cultural, and political development focusing on the empowerment of young, educated, and disadvantaged women through the provision of career guidance and counselling, coaching and mentoring, and opportunities for internship and professional development.

The goal of this initiative is the empowerment of young, educated, but otherwise disadvantaged men and women through the utilization of their education and skills into productive undertakings and leadership positions to benefit the wider South Sudanese society. In attaining the goal, the project has set the following objectives:

·         To develop a cadre of leaders/models for the younger generation of men and women to emulate;

·         To generate employment especially for young, educated men and women;

It is intended that the success of this initiative will encourage more young men and women to get educated and raise participation to and decision-making to influence the political and development trajectory of the country.
