Description of the Assignment: The Individual Consultant (IC) will provide technical expertise as NPAP Communications and Engagement Specialist. The IC is expected to work closely with the NPAP Manager, UNDP Philippines – Climate Action Programme Team, DENR, the Global Plastics Action Partnership, and the Country Office Communications Team. Specifically, the IC is expected to deliver the following:
1. Organize NPAP Launch, and support the preparation of Steering Committee Meetings.
a. For the NPAP Launch (target date is September 2024), the IC will coordinate with the NPAP Manager and Climate Action Programme Team in designing the program. Preparatory work will include drafting of printed and online visibility materials, press release, and photo documentation. The IC is also expected to coordinate with the media, PR and KM teams of partner government agencies, private sectors, and NGOs. The IC is expected to route communications outputs for QA and review of the NPAP Manager, the Climate Action Programme Team, and the Country Office Communications Team.
b. The IC is expected to create the NPAP Visual Brand (logo, visual templates, banners, posters, presentation deck), which will be used for the conduct of the launch.
c. For the Steering Committee Meetings, the IC is expected to work closely with the NPAP Manager and Climate Action Programme Team in developing marketing materials such as brochures, factsheets, FAQs, and other key communication materials such as talking points, PowerPoint presentations, briefs, etc.
2. Identify communication products and activities tailored to each audience, building on already produced international communication material, when possible, for each target audience. Develop initial activity plan for communication products/activities targeted at different stakeholders. Include a Monitoring and Evaluation Plan of the Communications implementation.
3. Develop the NPAP Secretariat’s digital communications strategy and products (social media materials, online newsletters, webpage/s).
