Individual Consultancy - Procurement Specialist


The overall objective of this assignment concerns assisting in the procurement of the supply of the following equipment and services:


1) Delivery of equipment inclusive of reagents, spare parts, consumables, technical assistance and training until handover, for the decontamination or disposal of all PCB contaminated equipment including dielectric oil, equipment and wastes, inclusive of post-treatment of
decontaminated oil to ensure its safe reuse in transformers;


2) Probably, the transport and disposal abroad of a maximum of equipment filled with pure PCB oil or with dielectric oil with very high concentration of PCBs, or other PCB contaminated waste not suitable for treatment with the equipment listed in point 1); 


3) Recycling – after decontamination of carcasses - of copper and metal recovered from the quota of equipment above that due to their age or level of contamination, cannot be reused after decontamination and have to be dismantled. Elimination of all PCBs and PCB contaminated waste and equipment appropriately and in an environmentally sound manner using the best available technique(s).
