Description of the Assignment:  The National Consultant (Education Adviser to support advocating MPO graduation of schools) will provide technical expertise and support to ERRD-CHT, UNDP in the development and implementation of strategies to facilitate the graduation of non-MPO schools to MPO status and advocate for policies that enhance the quality of education in non-MPO schools. 

Specific objectives of the assignment of the National Consultant are as follows: 

·       To conduct a comprehensive needs assessment of 71 non-MPO schools focusing on their current status, develop guideline, and assist in preparing individual action plans for these non-MPO schools toward MPO graduation,

·       To provide high-level policy advocacy support on non-MPO to MPO graduation of schools and its teachers.

-    To identify policy gaps and support high-level policy advocacy with concerned ministries, educational institutions/stakeholders, HDCs, CHTRC, and MoCHTA towards a flexible MPO policy for the community-established secondary schools in the CHT.

 

Period of assignment/services: 90 days over a period of 24 months (October 2024 to September 2026)
