Description of the Assignment:
As Bangladesh is going through a transition, the UN in Bangladesh is committed to supporting the country by strengthening its human rights compliance. This support includes technical assistance, expert capacity, advice, support in designing new policies and programs to align with Bangladesh’s international human rights commitments. The UN Resident Coordinator is the in-country Representative of the Secretary-General, and the Human Rights Advisory Team is in the office of the UN Resident Coordinator (UNRCO)’s office. This position is in the Human Rights Advisory team of the Resident Coordinator's Office, based in Dhaka and reports to the Senior Human Rights Adviser.
Period of assignment/services: 90 working days over a period of 12 months
