Introduction

In partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), UNCDF is looking to hire a firm to determine the status of the different MoA databases, and their level of interoperability; and, support MoA to design a data architecture aimed at defining how best the various databases, managed by the different departments and/or parastatals, can be interoperable in a way that optimizes planning, decision-making, policy formulation, and development of regulations that can spur Tanzania’s agricultural sector. It is hoped that such processes will contribute to the development of inclusive agricultural policies that are evidence based, data driven, and will provide a conducive environment for the development of public-private partnership models and private sector led solutions that scale digital agricultural innovation.
