Introduction

The Assessment of Farmer Organizations (FOs) and Micro/Small Enterprises (MSEs) in 10 districts across Malawi will assess the performance of the project using the standard assessment criteria of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, coherence, sustainability and impact. The assessment will cover all outputs of the Uchi project.

In assessing impact, the assessment will focus on the extent to which the project will change the lives of the poor households which directly and indirectly benefit from the programme. This will entail designing appropriate tools to collect and analyse data necessary for assessing the impact of the programme on the end beneficiaries.

It is envisaged the exercise will entail selecting a sample of 10 districts across Malawi for detailed review and analysis on the impact of the programme.
