Description of the Assignment: National Consultant for Capacity Development in the area of Psychological Support for the Prosecutor General's Office (OGP)

Duty Station: Home-based

Period of assignment/services (if applicable): Up to 10 months

!PLEASE NOTE: the currency of the proposal is UAH. Furthermore, UNDP will enter into a contract with the selected national consultant in UAH.

Main objectives of the assignmentto strengthen the capacity of criminal justice professionals to work with survivors/victims and witnesses of war crimes, including CRSV, by coordinating psychologists' professional services at the central and regional levels.


Under the direct supervision of the Human Rights and Access to Justice Project Manager, the Consultant will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  1. Involve and coordinate the joint work of psychologists to provide professional assistance and support to victims and witnesses during criminal investigations and trials. The Consultant will coordinate work and communication with the Prosecutor General's Office (OGP).
  2. Provide expert advice, guidance and mentoring to the OGP on issues about the mental health of witnesses and victims of war crimes.
  3. Provide consultations and support and take part in the interrogation of victims and witnesses of war crimes per request of OGP.
  4. Check and compile reports from psychologists and summarize information. Prepare monthly summary reports on psychologists' work with survivors/victims and witnesses of war crimes, including CRSV.
  5. Maintain overall communication with the UNDP project in Ukraine and the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.
