Introduction

The UNDP Mozambique, in cooperation with the UNDP Information & Technology Management (ITM) Green Energy Team, has taken initial steps toward implementing solar PV installations on selected 17 facilities that are part of the phase 1 of this project. The 17 sites are divided in 3 lots geographically distributed around the country as shown in the table below:

- Lot 1: CS Homoine, CS Magude, CS de Malehice, CS Funhalouro, CS Chicualacuala, CS Guijá
- Lot 2: CS Nhacolo, CS Chitobe, CS Chemba-Sede, CS Chifunde, CS Inhaminga, HD Gilé
- Lot 3: CS Metangula, CS Massangulo, CS Muatide, CS Nangade, HD Mandimba

This project seeks to enhance the energy supply for the 17 health facilities with renewable energy. The current energy supply is based on the national grid, and in some cases generator, for backup power supply. The generators’ maintenance is out of the scope of this ITB. Given the specific power needs, the systems shall be able to provide interrupted power supply to the labs.
The requirement is for the vendor to provide a comprehensive offer for a hybrid solar PV turnkey solutions in 17 sites.

The primary goal of the smart solar hybrid PV systems is to provide reliable power supply and affordable green energy solutions tailored to the specific needs of 17 health facilities as well as smart integrated services like security and adaptability. ITM requires high quality for these hybrid solar turnkey solutions, as they will serve as showcases both nationally and internationally.
