CONSTRUCTION OF UPPER AIR BUILDINGS AT MWANZA AIRPORT IN MWANZA REGION
Mandatory Site Visit: Site visit will be conducted on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 11:30 AM (EAT) at MWANZA AIRPORT IN MWANZA REGION. Please ensure to arrive 15 minutes early, as timely attendance is essential for this requirement.
The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA) are implementing a project in Tanzania under the Systematic Observation Financing Facility (SOFF) with advice from the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) in its role as Peer Adviser. In this project, UNDP is the implementing Entity responsible for overseeing all financial management matters while TMA is an Executing Entity responsible for executing all project activities.
The purpose of this project is to uplift the Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA) for provision of meteorological services to the public, institutions, and individual users of tailor-made services for socio-economic development. TMA is the authoritative power for issuing of warnings and advisories on severe weather events for protection of life and properties, contributing to sustainable development. The construction projects of TMA under the SOFF project can be regarded as the fulfillment of expectations our customers on service delivery.
