Description of the Assignment: The National Consultant (Wildlife Crime Control Analyst) will provide technical expertise and support to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID-funded Chittagong Hill Tracts Watershed Co-Management Activity II of the ERRD-CHT Project, UNDP in the development and implementation of strategies to facilitate the biodiversity conservation and wildlife crime control related awareness and capacity of the stakeholders.
Specific objectives of the assignment of the National Consultant are as follows:
· Carry out field level conservation and wildlife surveys, studies, and awareness will be conducted per the technical application as approved by USAID.
· Develop strategy, plan and budget for CHTWCA II’s Wildlife Crime Control and trafficking-related activities.
· Organize capacity development training and consultation workshops with the CHTWCA II stakeholders related to capacity building and awareness on wildlife crime control and trafficking of the forest fauna/animals.
· Prepare guidelines for CHTWCA II to support Partners in organizing thematic consultation workshops on wildlife crime control and prepare reports including the best practices by the communities in wildlife conservation.
Period of assignment/services : 55 days over three months (1 December 2024 to 28 February 2025)
