Introduction

UNDP is seeking for a National firm/institution for Development of guidelines, standards and business models on Sustainable Production and Consumption and Circular Economy for the Project "Accelerate Circular Economy for Business (ACE-Biz)", as described in the attached documentation.

Currently, UNDP is implementing a Netherlands-supported project entitled Accelerate Circular Economy for Business (ACE-Biz), the aim of which is to contribute to Viet Nam’s low-carbon and circular development, by transforming business, through formulating circular guidelines, delivering capacity-building programmes and fostering technology transfer, and demonstrating the certification scheme to promote exchanges of secondary materials and reusable goods through an online marketplace. To accelerate circular economy in Viet Nam, businesses need to have specific guidelines and evaluation criteria to implement sustainable and circular models. 

UNDP is seeking for a consulting firm to develop guidelines and handbook on eco-design, technical standard and roadmap on recycled contents in products, business models on SCP and CE, including:

·  A guideline/manual on eco-design for business and policy maker to provide concepts, regulations, case studies and initial recommendations

·  A technical guideline on design for recycling for plastic packaging

·  A technical standard and a phased roadmap to increase the recycled content in plastic packaging products

·  Handbook on good practices and sustainable models on SCP and CE in priority industries (plastics, packaging, food and beverage...)

·  Business plans based on sustainable and circular models, in potential industries (packaging, food and beverage…)

These guidelines and deliverables are designed to bring tools and enhance capacity of enterprises in prioritized sectors in applying science and technology, to develop and adopt their circular plans and business models.
