Invitation to Submit an Offer for In-depth analysis of low GeneXpert underutilization in HIV and TB services in Sudan

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is a trusted, long-term partner with extensive operational experience, UNDP supports countries in effective implementation of complex, multilateral and multi-sectoral health programmes while simultaneously investing in capacity development so that national and local partners can assume these responsibilities over time. In Sudan, UNDP is the principal recipient of Global Fund funding for HIV and TB programming. As part of the current GC7 HIV/TB grant, and to foster a more equitable environment in accessing HIV and TB services for vulnerable populations, a consultant is sought to conduct in-depth analysis of low GeneXpert underutilization in TB and HIV services in Sudan to help the FMOH and partners to better understand reasons for GeneXpert underutilization and to develop a corresponding action plan to address the underutilization in TB diagnostics and HIV viral load testing. Previous research/studies and the potential impact of the current Sudanese war should be taken into account in the design, data collection and analysis and final results and proposed mitigation actions.

Description of the Assignment:  National Individual Contractor for In-depth analysis of low GeneXpert underutilization in TB and HIV services in Sudan.

 

Period of assignment/services: 3 months
