Ø Global Knowledge Index (GKI) 2022 PDF
§ Development and implementation of an innovative design and layout for the Global Knowledge Index 2022 (web PDF and printable PDF) in English and Arabic. The below is a breakdown of the design components and scope of work and is the same for both the English and Arabic versions.
§ The GKI 2022 shall include the cover, first pages, tables, an executive summary, endnotes, references, definitions and sources, and the results of some 160 countries illustrated in tables and graphs (unified design for all countries). The results shall reflect the trend of 2021-2022 of each country. The GKI 2022 includes the following pages – approximately 528 pages excluding the cover. The design of the GKI 2022 includes:
o Cover design: front, back, inside covers and spine
o Typesetting and layout of all text and graphic elements, including acknowledgements, foreword, table of contents, executive summary, endnotes, references, and definitions and sources. This section includes 10 tables (including heatmap tables), 8 organigrams and 2 figures.
o Information design, production and layout of graphics and tables from supplied data in Excel format (160 country profiles or 480 pages with 3 pages per profile). Each country profile consists of a section depicting the country’s general performance, including rank, score, etc.; sectoral indices; GKI pillars; and a table showing the performance by variable. The design should be unified for all countries.
o Definitions and sources section including the info in this page.
§ The design shall be produced in Arabic and English. Once the English version is officially approved by UNDP, the designer should produce a mimic of it in Arabic.
