Introduction
Scope of work:
The scope of work is intended to achieve the overall objective of the rehabilitation and operation of Al-Berka 2 Dumpsite in a safe and effective manner over a 3 month duration. Scope of work includes securing the site and preventing negative effects on the surrounding community by reshaping the existing solid waste into an organized shape that serves the intended purposes as outlined in work description and design drawings, and to approach the daily operation of the incoming solid waste in a systematic manner allowing predictable and smooth progression of solid waste fill operations both horizontally and vertically, accommodating safety requirements arising from the rain season. Work shall be implemented in accordance with sound practices in dumpsites/landfills’ operations; as in eliminating risks and maximizing void space efficient use according to the plans and Engineer’s instructions. It shall be noted that the Scope of Work shall also be deemed to include anything not listed here but may reasonably be inferred to be necessary for the completion of the works. The contractor will be supervised by UNDP designated Officers and Engineers.
