Introduction
UNDP Vietnam is looking for a qualified National Consultant to prepare a policy discussion report to inform the NDC 3.0.
The United Nations (UN) Country Team (UNCT) in Viet Nam has undertaken a comprehensive national mapping of programme activities across thirteen UN entities to identify key tools and resources that can support the Government in developing its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) 3.0 by 2025. The UNCT has presented 85 offers aligned with the five NDC sectors, as defined by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), in the area of climate change mitigation, and the three objectives of climate change adaptation outlined in Viet Nam’s National Adaptation Plan (NAP) and the equivalent Adaptation Chapter of Viet Nam’s previous NDC (2022).
UNDP is looking for one Individual Consultant (IC) to lead the Integrated Offer #2. The objective of this assignment is to lead the development of a participatory policy discussion report for NDC 3.0 that proposes actionable climate measures, including NbS, for inclusion in NDC 3.0 by gathering inputs from vulnerable and represented groups through a combination of surveys and consultations.
Period of assignment/services: 60 working days (from December 2024 to May 2025).
