Description of the Assignment:  

The National Consultant for development of promotion package and outreach activities for Vjetrenica-Popovo polje PL, Orjen PN and Drina NP will be responsible for the following tasks:

- Focus on further, site-based promotion of different aspects of nature protection of pilot PAs to local communities and around the country, including gender–sensitive advocacy and public outreach programmes;

- Investigate tourist (dis)satisfaction through a short survey via the distribution of questionnaires, to get the opinion of local community representatives and visitors, which can help understand the level of satisfaction with the offer, service, and client attitude towards PAs offer.

- Support the promotion of the site and the linkage between the private tourist business. In case of Vjetrenica-Popovo polje PL, the goal is to ensure increased revenues for the PA directly, the enhanced visitation and quality of tourist program at Vjetrenica, and provide economic and social benefits to the wider landscape of Popovo polje.

- Foster activities aimed at developing tourism offer and increasing the self-sustainability of Vjetrenica-Popovo polje PL, Orjen PN and Drina NP through cooperation with regional tourism clusters, and various tourism operators and small businesses along the Via Dinarica trails that operate in or nearby pilot PAs.

- The consultant will develop promotion packages and action plans for enhanced PAs visibility and outreach activities for recently established/re-classified PAs: Vjetrenica-Popovo polje PL, Orjen PN and Drina NP.

- Improve media presentation, i.e. relations with the media and influential people (influencers and bloggers).

- Explore opportunities for cross border cooperation and promotion (e.g. Orjen PN in Montenegro; NP Drina with NP Tara in Serbia etc).

- Suggest packaging of the selected products and models for branding and marketing.

Period of assignment/services: 65 working days over period February 2025 - October 2025
