Introduction
The consultant’s scope of work is understood to cover all activities necessary to accomplish the stated objectives of the services, whether or not a specific activity is cited in these Terms of Reference (TOR).
The primary objectives of this Environmental and Social Impact Assessment are to carry out the environmental and social impact assessment processes from undertaking initial screening, stakeholder identification focusing on those directly affected, gathering of environmental and social baseline data, generation of mitigation or management measures and actions; and up to developing Environmental Impact Assessment Reports. Where applicable, the consulting firm will also be tasked with enhancing the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies developed by the individual contracted companies. This will involve refining existing strategies to ensure they align with best practices and the requirements of the GETF initiative. Additionally, the firm will provide support in designing and implementing robust methodologies for measuring environmental and social impacts, enabling companies to track, report, and improve their performance in these critical areas.
