Description of the Assignment: UNDP is seeking a national consultant to support the delivering of: i) capacity building activities for women community leaders in awareness of climate-induced risks and local approaches/ to mitigate risks; ii) gender awareness sessions and community dialogues/forums to promote inclusive community civic spaces to facilitate collective decision-making, both in project targeted communities in Hela Province.

The consultant is expected to facilitate and conduct capacity building activities for women community leaders in awareness of climate-induced risks and local approaches/ to mitigate risks; gender awareness sessions and community dialogues/forums to promote inclusive community civic spaces to facilitate collective decision-making, both in project targeted communities in Hela Province. 

The successful consultant is required to possess an advanced University degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in education, communications, gender studies, environmental sciences, social science, conflict studies, or related field with a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in development, environment, peacebuilding, conflict management, climate and gender, or related fields; 


Period of assignment/services: 50 days (consultancy to be completed by 10 June 2023)
