PROJECT DESCRIPTION

As part of the UNDP regional program, a strategy for the sustainable development of the Ulytau Region is planned, including an assessment of current regional development plans, as well as the development of recommendations and an action plan for regional improvement and growth.

UNDP will engage an international consultant to support the development of a sustainable development strategy for the Ulytau Region.

As part of the project, the international consultant will carry out the following tasks:

1) Conduct an analysis of existing development plans and programs for the Ulytau Region, including, The Comprehensive Plan for the Socio-Economic Development of the Ulytau Region for 2022–2026,The Ulytau Region Development Plan for 2021–2025.

2) Conduct familiarization visits to the Ulytau Region (at least one visit) to hold consultative meetings with representatives of local executive authorities, the non-governmental sector, and the business community.

3) Assess the developed sustainable development strategy for the Ulytau Region and provide recommendations for its improvement.

4) Actively participate in discussions, consultations, and seminars on regional development throughout the contract period.

Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.

ПРООН привлечет международного консультанта для содействия разработки стратегии устойчивого развития области Улытау:

В рамках проекта международный консультант выполнит следующие задачи:

1) Проведет анализ существующих планов и программ развития области Улытау (Комплексный план социально-экономического развития области Ұлытау на 2022–2026 годы; План развития области Ұлытау на 2021–2025 годы);

2) Проведет ознакомительные выезды в область Улытау (не менее 1-го выезда) с целью проведения консультационных встреч с представителями местных исполнительных органов, неправительственного сектора и бизнес-сообщества;

3) Проведет оценку разработанной стратегии устойчивого развития области Улытау и предоставит рекомендации по ее совершенствованию;

4) Примет активное участие в обсуждениях, консультациях и семинарах по вопросам развития области на период действия контракта.
