Introduction
Country: Vietnam
Description of the Assignment: National Consultant for GPEDC monitoring exercise
Period of assignment/services: March 2025 to December 2025
Vietnam is implementing sustainable development goals through strategies and plans for socio-economic development. Vietnam has made great efforts to mobilize domestic and international resources to realize the goals. Along with that, Vietnam focuses on improving the effectiveness of development cooperation. Vietnam is an active member of the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC), a multi-stakeholder platform to promote the effectiveness of development efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The GPEDC undertakes the monitoring exercise to track the implementation of Effective Development Co-operation commitments, aimed at implementing the four development effectiveness principles – country ownership, a focus on development results, inclusive partnerships, and enhancing transparency and mutual accountability.
In Vietnam, the Ministry of Planning and Investment is National Coordinating Agency (NCA) for development cooperation and taking lead for this monitoring exercise.
UNDP Vietnam is seeking for a National Consultant to support the NCA to implement the monitoring process.
