PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Since 2024, the UNDP Regional Program "Sustainable Development: Overcoming Local Disparities in New Regions" has been launched. The program aims to address uneven regional development, improve the quality of life of the population, and contribute to progress in achieving the SDGs in the country's regions.

As part of the above-mentioned project, a needs assessment will be conducted in the Abai and Ulytau regions in the field of local self-governance development. Additionally, a series of training sessions will be organized for representatives of local executive and representative bodies on topics such as regional planning, budgeting, local self-governance development, effective communication with local communities, and monitoring the implementation of development programs.

The primary objective of these training sessions is to enhance the capacity of local executive and representative bodies, as well as local communities, to actively engage citizens in decision-making processes aimed at regional development and improving the quality of life of the local population.

ОПИСАНИЕ ПРОЕКТА

С 2024 года стартовала Региональная программа ПРООН «Устойчивое развитие: преодоление местных различий в новых регионах», направленная на устранение неравномерного развития на региональном уровне, повышение качества жизни населения и содействие прогрессу в достижении ЦУР в регионах страны.

В рамках вышеуказанного проекта планируется проведение оценки потребностей в Абайской и Улытауской областях в сфере развития местного самоуправления, а также ряда тренингов для представителей местных исполнительных и представительных органов по вопросам регионального планирования, бюджетирования, развития местного самоуправления, эффективной коммуникации с местными сообществами, а также по мониторингу исполнения программ развития.

Основной задачей проведения тренингов является повышение потенциала местных исполнительных и представительных органов, местных сообществ для активного вовлечения граждан в процессы принятия решений, направленных на региональное развитие и улучшение качества жизни местного населения.
