The Support to Justice Sector Project (JURE) is funded by the European Union and jointly implemented by UNDP and UNICEF Sri Lanka, and facilitated by the Ministry of Justice. JURE contains a wide-ranging package of support to the justice sector in Sri Lanka and is being implemented in close partnership with key justice sector institutions including the Ministry of Justice, Legal Aid Commission, Government Analyst’s Department, etc.
The JURE project has already made significant strides in reforming key legal policies, providing legal aid to vulnerable communities across the country, digitizing and improving the infrastructure of justice sector institutions, enhancing the knowledge of thousands of justice sector personnel, enhancing public awareness of laws and rights, and much more.
The procurement initiative is undertaken to equip the newly renovated auditorium of Sri Lanka Judges Institute with a state-of-the-art audio system.
