Introduction
The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is currently implementing a project "Ending Plastic Pollution Innovation Challenge (EPPIC)" that requires the services of a team of 02 National Consultants to review and assess potential for co-processing and support the development of technical regulation of co-processing, as described in this document.
This Procurement Request is specifically to recruit the NC1 for this assignment.
Female consultants are encouraged to bid for this required service. Preference will be given to equally technically qualified female consultants.
This assignment will evaluate the feasibility, benefits, and challenges of integrating waste materials into cement production as an alternative fuel and raw material. The consultants will analyze the current regulatory framework, technological readiness, environmental impact, and economic viability of co-processing, with a particular focus on aligning with national waste management strategies and circular economy goals.
In addition to the assessment, the consultants will also support the Pollution Control Department with the development of technical regulations for co-processing, ensuring that the process meets environmental, health, and safety standards while optimizing resource efficiency.
Period of assignment/services: 60 working days from March - July 2025.
Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.
Any request for clarification must be sent in writing via messaging functionality in the portal. UNDP will respond in writing including an explanation of the query without identifying the source of inquiry.
Please indicate whether you intend to submit a bid by creating a draft response without submitting directly in the system.
