UNDP Country office in Kazakhstan is helping the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan to honor its Paris Agreement commitments by supporting the expansion of the "green economy" to tap into new opportunities for jobs and businesses. UNDP partners with other United Nations agencies to provide technical expertise to translate strategies into action, establish a monitoring framework for climate change adaptation and mitigation, and develop plans for transition to green energy, land management, climate-proof agriculture, biodiversity, reforestation, disaster risk reduction, and waste management. By catalyzing SDG and Paris-aligned investments (public and private), UNDP delivers client-focused solutions that respond to immediate, mid and long-term recovery and socio-economic development priorities, and; by leveraging on-the-ground presence and networks, UNDP unlocks bottom-up solutions towards lasting impacts at the country level, benefitting most disadvantaged and leaving no one behind.

Considering the scale of GNG emission by the energy sector and Government’s target on achieving carbon neutrality, UNDP was requested by the Ministry of Energy to assist with the preparation and submission of a project proposal to the GEF-8 in the field of Smart grid approach.

Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.

С момента своего создания в 1991 году ГЭФ работал над защитой глобальной окружающей среды и содействовал экологически устойчивому развитию. ПРООН сотрудничает с экологическими вертикальными фондами для поддержки стран в получении доступа, комбинировании и упорядочении различных источников экологического финансирования и финансовых инструментов для получения экологических выгод с высоким воздействием, которые способствуют устойчивому развитию.

ПРООН была одним из основателей и учреждений-исполнителей Глобального экологического фонда (ГЭФ), и на сегодняшний день ПРООН сохраняет приверженность партнерству с ГЭФ в целях расширения масштабов инновационного финансирования и привлечения новых инвестиций для решения неотложных задач в области глобальной окружающей среды и развития.

Страновой офис ПРООН в Казахстане помогает правительству Республики Казахстан выполнять свои обязательства по Парижскому соглашению, поддерживая расширение «зеленой экономики» для использования новых возможностей для рабочих мест и бизнеса. ПРООН сотрудничает с другими агентствами Организации Объединенных Наций для предоставления технической экспертизы для перевода стратегий в действия, создания системы мониторинга адаптации к изменению климата и смягчения его последствий и разработки планов перехода к зеленой энергетике, управлению земельными ресурсами, климатически устойчивому сельскому хозяйству, биоразнообразию, лесовосстановлению, снижению риска бедствий и управлению отходами. Катализируя инвестиции (государственные и частные) в соответствии с ЦУР и Парижским соглашением, ПРООН предоставляет клиентоориентированные решения, которые отвечают немедленным, среднесрочным и долгосрочным приоритетам восстановления и социально-экономического развития, и; используя присутствие на местах и сети, ПРООН разблокирует решения снизу вверх для достижения долгосрочных результатов на страновом уровне, принося пользу наиболее обездоленным и не оставляя никого позади.

Учитывая масштабы выбросов ГНП в энергетическом секторе и цель правительства по достижению углеродной нейтральности, Министерство энергетики обратилось к ПРООН с просьбой оказать содействие в подготовке и представлении проектного предложения в ГЭФ-8 в области подхода «умных сетей».
