REQUEST FOR QUOTATION FOR CONTRACTING PRODUCTION, BROADCAST, AND RECORDING SERVICES FOR THE 2025 HEROES OF TOMORROW: UN SDG ACTION AWARDS CEREMONY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), through the UN SDG Action Campaign, is seeking a qualified production company to manage and execute the full production of the UN SDG Action Awards Ceremony: Heroes of Tomorrow, to be held on 29 October 2025 in Rome, Italy.
The selected company will be responsible for the design, setup, and live production of the ceremony, including technical coordination, audiovisual recording, editing of pre-recorded and post-event content, multilingual support, and full scenographic execution at the venue. The event will bring together global changemakers, institutions, and media to celebrate impactful initiatives advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The production company must demonstrate experience with high-profile, live-streamed events of comparable complexity, including experience working with international broadcasters and multilingual formats. The scope includes both the execution of the live event and the delivery of high-quality edited materials for public dissemination.
SCOPE OF THE SERVICES
The selected production company will provide end-to-end production services for the UN SDG Action Awards Ceremony in Rome, including:
Pre-production and planning, including technical coordination, production scheduling, and participation in briefing and rehearsal sessions.
On-site production, including professional lighting, sound, filming, staging, multilingual support, simultaneous interpretation (Italian/English and International Sign Language), and coordination with the venue and partners.
Live event management, including direction, switching, camera coordination, multimedia display (slides, lower-thirds, music, etc.), and integration of sign language and pre-recorded content.
Post-production, including the editing and delivery of high-resolution video assets:
- One (1) promotional video in English and Italian versions
- Individual videos for finalist initiative
- Final archive video of the full event
Scenography, including printed materials, stage furniture, and the integration of artistic elements related to the event’s identity.
Personnel and equipment, including all required technical staff, operators, and necessary high-end production equipment to ensure professional quality and seamless execution.
OBJECTIVES
The main objective of this assignment is to ensure the professional production and broadcast of the UN SDG Action Awards Ceremony: Heroes of Tomorrow, delivering a high-quality, inspiring, and accessible event that:
- Showcases impactful initiatives advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development;
- Engages global and local audiences through high-end audiovisual storytelling;
- Ensures inclusive participation through multilingual and accessible formats (Italian, English, and International Sign Language);
- Reflects the identity and vision of the UN SDG Action Campaign through innovative scenography and dynamic production;
- Generates professional multimedia content for post-event dissemination, institutional communication, and global outreach.
